Arni

Arni is a town and a municipality in Tiruvanamalai district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The name comes from the word Aranyam which means a place surrounded by forest.

As of 2011, the municipality boundary of the town had a population of 63,671, the extended town population is 92,375 and it is the 2nd largest town in the district after Thiruvannamalai. A new revenue division of the district is formed which is headquartered by Arni.
